Notes on Brand Language

As a branding company, Mainland Studio merges beautiful copy with beautiful visuals. We think that compelling editorial is as important as the design to which we attach it. Though necessary, building a strong brand isn’t just about a great logo and a unique colour palette. It is also about effective language and establishing tone. The way you present your brand to the world requires a comprehensive approach around messaging and voice as well as expressive imagery. The well formed coalescence of the two — as well as keen utilization across varying platforms — will give your brand a sturdy foundation from which to reach your desired clientele.

This series, tentatively titled ‘Notes on Brand Language,’ will explore the editorial side of Mainland Studio. It’ll function as a place to examine concepts related to copywriting and the brand application thereof while also seeking to offer insight into what makes Mainland unique among branding firms and copywriting studios alike.

At the risk of making ourselves irrelevant (what an adventure it would be to drop everything and start that paddle boat rental business we’ve been dreaming about!) we also endeavour to make this something approximating educational. With that in mind, ask us questions in the IG comments or submit questions directly through DM! You know us, we’re suckers for a bit of shop-talk.

Ok, then. Let’s ride.
