APPROACH

Chairloom engages with design unlike any entity within the luxury furniture space. Guided by her deeply held ethics and instincts towards heirloom furniture, owner and founder, Molly Burke, believes in rejuvenation over rejection. By applying unique layers of conscientious nuance to their work, Chairloom has shifted the narrative around vintage furniture buying and asks consumers to visualize the restorative potential in older pieces.

This is the simple and beautiful mission of Chairloom. Within that ethic lies a layer of nuance that needed to be teased out and brought into the light for people to see. The language we developed drew, in part, from language theological in nature. Our three taglines used as a set —one informing the other— gave potential customers a glimpse of what Chairloom is all about, without even setting foot inside the door. Restoration, revival, and responsible consumption of goods define the 16-year-old (and counting) business and allows consumers to engage with design and sustainability in ways they never thought possible.
